1. Scope of Delivery

Howfine provides delivery services for eligible office furniture orders within Singapore, subject to product type, order quantity, delivery location, site access conditions, stock availability and scheduling capacity.

Standard deliveries are typically completed within 2–5 business days, subject to stock availability and delivery scheduling.

Delivery dates and time slots are estimates unless expressly confirmed in writing. Howfine will make reasonable efforts to meet the agreed delivery schedule, but delivery may be affected by traffic conditions, building restrictions, weather, manpower availability, security requirements or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

2. Delivery Charges

Free Delivery for Orders Over S$500

Free standard delivery is available for orders over S$500 where the delivery location has:

  • normal lift access; or
  • ground-level access suitable for delivery.

Free delivery applies to the standard delivery service only.

Additional charges may still apply for:

  • staircase or no-lift access;
  • restricted or secured locations;
  • special delivery zones;
  • long carry distances;
  • restricted loading access;
  • after-hours delivery;
  • additional manpower;
  • installation or assembly not included in the order;
  • disposal or dismantling services; or
  • other special handling requirements.

For orders that do not qualify for free delivery, the applicable delivery charge will be shown or communicated during quotation, checkout or order confirmation.

4. Staircase & No-Lift Access

Where suitable lift access is unavailable and furniture must be carried manually via stairs, staircase delivery charges will apply.

A minimum staircase delivery surcharge of S$20 applies.

Additional staircase charges are calculated as follows:

The applicable charge may depend on the number of items, number of floors, item size, item weight and actual site conditions.

Customers must inform Howfine before delivery if:

  • the furniture does not fit inside the lift;
  • the lift cannot be used for deliveries;
  • stairs must be used;
  • there is a significant distance between the unloading point and receiving area; or
  • additional manpower may be required.

If these conditions were not disclosed beforehand, Howfine may collect the additional charge before completing delivery or may reschedule the delivery where additional manpower or equipment is required.

5. Customer Site & Access Requirements

Customers must ensure that:

  • the delivery address and contact details are correct;
  • an authorised person is available to receive the goods;
  • lift, loading bay, parking and building access are available during the agreed delivery period;
  • any management approval, loading-bay booking, lift reservation, security clearance or delivery permit has been arranged;
  • pathways, corridors, doorways and receiving areas are clear;
  • the delivery area is safe and suitable for the furniture being delivered; and
  • Howfine has been informed in advance of any access restrictions.

Customers should notify Howfine before delivery of:

  • stairs or no-lift access;
  • narrow corridors or doorways;
  • restricted loading areas;
  • long carrying distances;
  • security checkpoints;
  • building delivery-hour restrictions;
  • loading permits;
  • special building rules; or
  • any other condition that may affect delivery.

For safety reasons, Howfine may refuse, suspend or reschedule a delivery where the site is unsafe, access is unsuitable or important site conditions were not disclosed accurately.

Additional charges may apply where undisclosed conditions require extra manpower, time, equipment or a repeat delivery.

6. Installation, Assembly & Placement

Installation, assembly, placement, dismantling, disposal of existing furniture, carton removal or additional manpower are included only where specifically stated in the quotation, invoice, order confirmation or other written agreement.

Customers should confirm any special placement or installation requirements before delivery.

Where placement is included, Howfine will place the furniture according to the customer's reasonable instructions at the time of delivery, subject to site and safety conditions.

Once furniture has been delivered, assembled or positioned according to the agreed instructions, subsequent relocation, dismantling or repositioning may be chargeable.

7. Delivery Scheduling

Customers may request a preferred delivery date or time, but requested delivery schedules remain subject to:

  • stock availability;
  • delivery route planning;
  • manpower availability;
  • building access restrictions; and
  • other operational requirements.

If Howfine is unable to deliver on the requested date or time, the customer will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and an alternative delivery arrangement will be proposed.

Where an ordered product becomes unavailable, Howfine may offer a similar product of equal or higher value as an alternative.

Any substitute product will be communicated to the customer before substitution is confirmed.

8. Failed Delivery, Waiting Time & Rescheduling

A delivery may be considered unsuccessful where:

  • no authorised person is available to receive the goods;
  • access to the premises is denied;
  • the delivery address is incorrect or incomplete;
  • the site is not ready;
  • required security or building clearance has not been arranged;
  • outstanding payment remains unpaid where payment is required before delivery;
  • furniture cannot reasonably be moved through the available access route; or
  • undisclosed site conditions prevent safe delivery.

Where a delivery cannot be completed for reasons outside Howfine's reasonable control, additional charges may apply for:

  • waiting time;
  • repeat delivery;
  • rescheduling;
  • storage;
  • additional manpower;
  • staircase handling; or
  • special transport arrangements.

Customers should notify Howfine as early as possible if a delivery appointment needs to be changed.

Any rescheduling request is subject to delivery availability.

9. Delivery Inspection & Damage Reporting

Customers should inspect delivered items as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Any:

  • delivery damage;
  • missing items;
  • incorrect items; or
  • visible defects

should be reported to Howfine within 7 days of delivery.

Customers should provide:

  • the order or invoice number;
  • a description of the issue; and
  • clear photographs showing the affected item and damage.

Where appropriate, Howfine may inspect the product before determining the appropriate remedy.

Issues reported after the 7-day delivery inspection period may be handled under the applicable Warranty Policy, depending on the nature of the issue and Howfine's assessment.

This reporting period does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Singapore law.

10. Legal Terms

Nothing in these Delivery Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Singapore law.

Howfine may update these Delivery Terms from time to time.

Unless otherwise required by law, the version applicable to an order will be the version published or provided at the time the order is confirmed.

Where an official quotation, invoice, purchase order accepted by Howfine, order confirmation or service agreement contains specific delivery terms that differ from these general Delivery Terms, the specific written terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

Special delivery charges, site-access charges and staircase charges may be adjusted where the actual delivery conditions materially differ from the information provided by the customer when the order was confirmed.
